lyrics
Wading through red waters of Hvannasund
The victim’s struggle increases their triumph
What an achievement
To butcher the defenceless creatures
It's all about the tradition
The old, outdated tradition
Meanwhile elsewhere in the deep blue endlessness
The majestic predators are caught, finned and dumped
Left to rot alive
What a delicacy
What a culture
What a pathetic waste
There are no words
to describe the magnitude
of our Megalomania
There are no words
to describe our
Megalomania
No words
No fucking suitable words
to describe our
Megalomania
In complete calmness
Under the blue sky Surrounded by seagulls
The floating slaughter factories
Find their way across the seas
While dragging death behind them
Creating tons and tons of casualties
Relentlessly
Mercylessly
Bottom trawling
leaves nothing behind
but barren wastelands

Masterful use of acoustic passages and synth stuff. This is definitely my favorite black metal-dungeon synth kinda album I've found recently. Each track flows into the next so well, I cannot recommend it enough. Perri

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74

This album is just 100/100, like so many albums from mgla. How can a band hit the spot so many times? They are incredible. Thank you for accompanying me almost daily these days :) adrianradillo
