I only got six month to serve
That shouldn’t be too hard
Maybe I even make some friends
It started all so harmless
Like a game between some teens
Some young troubled lads
Showing off their powers
Things turned ugly real quick
First they made my fingers bleed
Then they reenacted the torment of private Pyle
Till the bars of soap broke to bits
The downward spiral
Kept turning on and on
They just wouldn't stop
Their lust for torture seemed endless
Please guys
Just leave me alone
End me if you want to
As long as you leave me the fuck alone
Next level in the game
Was the cleaning of the toilet
In absence of any dignity
But with my tongue
After being force-fed
my own vomit
It escalated completely
They found the hand broom
Cracked and brittle
What was coming
was unbearable
I tried to escape my own body
To a place of complete void
After twelve endless, humiliating hours
They found the 'mercy' to hang me with an improvised rope
Only the sixth attempt finally brought me relief
That’s how my life ended
Abandoned of all that is human
Dangling from the toilet door
In my blood-soaked underpants

Masterful use of acoustic passages and synth stuff. This is definitely my favorite black metal-dungeon synth kinda album I've found recently. Each track flows into the next so well, I cannot recommend it enough.

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end.
